While on holiday there were some interesting developments; especially in the Unified Communications area. The product is Released To Manufacturing (RTM) which means it is code complete and documentation is available (will do a seperate post on that). Over on Microsoft PressPass a Q&A sessions with Gurdeep Singh Pall is published which goes into more detail.
Office Communications Server 2007 is the 3rd generation of Microsoft’s Real Time Communications platform. The progress is very solid and in its relatively short existence(4 years) it has become a great competitor to the “establishment”. .. and somehow I have the feeling that this is only the beginning 🙂 …
