I’ve been meaning to blog about this little puppy for a while as James and Mike in my team have been working hard with Scan Computers in the UK to get this in to the market. What is it? In a nustshell, it’s a search appliance running Microsoft Office SharePoint Server 2007 for Search.

Lange tijd niets van je gehoord …
Innovatie … tsja dat klukt niet in alle gevallen. De Search Appliance is inderdaad niet iets wat Microsoft uitgedacht heeft. Daarentegen is Microsoft met deze technologie wel zeer goed gepositioneerd. Vergeet niet dat de appliace slechts een verpakking / verschijningsvorm van SharePoint for Search is.
