In August last year, Microsoft introduced some 33 Application Templates for Microsoft Windows SharePoint Services. Since then the number of downloads have been very high proving that there is a big interest in the user community for this type of standardized functionality.
These templates are a great help for Microsoft customers and partners to experience the business value of SharePoint sites. They are very easy to apply for the creation of a context-rich site related to a specific task, job or event. Currently 33 different templates are available. Peter, what is the support policy for these templates?
Ed,
Good question 😉 I will chack and get back to you in this in another comment to this past asap.
Ed,
The Windows SharePoint Services (WSS) Applications do not contain any custom code and are therefor supported under the standard WSS support policy.
