Some of the reports from analysts such as Gartner are accessable for free, however still have copyright ofcourse.
They make their money from selling these reports and advise just as commercial software vedors do from creating software.
Open source analysis would be interesting; I see blogging as a possibility of being / becoming just that wit the only problem being : who can you trust ?
For now it’s just go with the flow and trying to understand who the person / organisation is that provides the advisories 🙂
