… This article with the same title has been making its rounds during the past 24 hours within the SharePoint community and has generated quite a bit of excitement because it highlights the planned deployment of a MOSS 2007-based social networking service over the next several months to about 110,000 employees of Wachovia, the 4th largest bank in the U.S.
We will be posting a series of blog entries very soon about how SharePoint Server 2007 can provide a significant portion of the answer to the question above. We will describe in detail how Microsoft is already using MOSS 2007 to enable Facebook like social networking functionality within our intranet, and what non-technical issues such as privacy, security, multilanguage, and diverse cultures had to be resolved.
