Application outsourcing is expected to be one of the quickest-growing categories of IT services over the next five years, with a CAGR of 10%. Firms in mature outsourcing countries, such as the UK, the Nordics, and the Netherlands, will account for the majority of the spending; which will grow from E 17 billion in 2006 to E27.5 billion in 2011. Financial services firms will lead in adoption of and spending on this service type.
