…HP has a professional services business that focuses on support for Microsoft Exchange. It’s impressive. The group has very high levels of Exchange skills, probably more than any other services firm. It offers soup-to-nuts support, mainly:
- Planning and implementing migrations to Exchange
- Running Exchange systems — usually on customer premises, sometimes on HP premises
- Planning and assisting with major upgrades
The Exchange work is part of HP’s more general systems integration services.
Like many large organizations, HP doesn’t like to talk about the size of the business. Tentatively, we estimate it at perhaps $100 million to $200
million a year in Exchange professional services. Take those numbers with caution, we could be significantly out.[Via Ferris Research Weblog]
