While I was on vacation, Microsoft released a new toolkit for SharePoint Portal Server. I delayed blogging mostly to tout a new JupiterResearch report that hadn’t yet published. David Schatsky’s report, “Creating a Valuable Enterprise Portal,” published yesterday.
David’s report gives marketshare for SharePoint Portal Server compared to competing products. More important are his recommendations about enterprise portals, which he found to be fairly ubiqutious, and the three attributes successful portals commonly share.
