Tablet PCs struggle for acceptance

The Register outlines their interpretation of the In-Stat/MDR report that was issued last week.
Sure the Tablet PC is still more or less a niche product and not the type of device that anyone can / will buy.
The issue with all of the perception around the Tablet is perhaps that a lot of people compare it to just another notebook. Well, it’s not just a notebook. Anyone with tablet experience can tell you it’s much more than that.

Following the dicussions around the future of the tablet PC indicates that maybe in a few years time there won’t be any Tablet PC’s, just computers with ink capability. Well in my opinion that’s when the Tablet PC vision is a success. Ink for the masses !
